Coober Pedy Caravan Parks

Many people enjoy the freedom that a caravan or trailer can provide them with, and Coober Pedy Caravan Parks are just waiting for you to hook up and start to enjoy the area.  When your home is on wheels you can basically go wherever you wish, and Coober Pedy is a great place to look for opals and a good halfway point between Adelaide and Alice Springs.  A caravan can save the vacationer a huge amount of money on hotel or motel fees, too, and finding the fully equipped caravan parks in this mining town make your stay that much more pleasant.

Stuart Range Caravan & Tourist Park

If you are planning on rolling into Coober Pedy in your caravan, you will find a wide range of facilities at the Stuart Range Caravan Park.  This park has 160 powered and unpowered sites where you can pull up and relax.  Shade is provided for some of the sites, but this is on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.  You will find many services at this Coober Pedy caravan park to make your stay comfortable.  Besides electric hookup, there are showers (operated by coin) available, a laundromat, and a water dispenser.  This water has already been purified, and needs no further treatment.

Jumping into the swimming pool will be a great way to cool off after a day of driving, and there is also a kiddie pool for younger children to enjoy.  A barbecue area is available if you want to prepare your own food outdoors, but a pizzeria is on the grounds, too, in case you don’t feel like cooking.  Facilities at the Stuart Range Park are accessible by those who are disabled. You will also find an ATM on the site, for your convenience.

There is no problem if you are traveling with your pets, but please remember to be a good pet owner and keep your pet on leash at all times when outside your caravan.  An area called ‘The Triangle’ has been set aside as a place where pets can be walked.

Opal Inn Caravan Park

This Coober Pedy caravan park is another good way to enjoy your stay if you are traveling by caravan.  It provides all the things you would expect out of a trailer park, and supplies electricity and grey water removal from each site.  For your convenience, there is a laundry with both washers and dryers.

Having your own barbecue is easy and fun at the Opal Inn Caravan Park, and the area is shaded for your comfort, too.  A grassy area is provided for those who want to pitch their tent and camp.  If you have a laptop computer, WiFi is available at the caravan park for a fee.  You’ll be able to keep up with friends and relatives by email to let them know how you are enjoying yourself.

Conveniently Located

Both of these caravan parks are conveniently located, and will give you a great base from which to enjoy this interesting mining town.  When driving your own caravan, there can be no better place to stop than at one of the modern and fully equipped Coober Pedy Caravan Parks.
